With the start to the 2018 season fast approaching, official pre season training has begun.
From here on in, training will be held on Sunday from 10am, at Copperfield College, Sydenham
Make sure you can get down to the courts and get your swing ready for round 1.
We held our first training session on Sunday with an amazing amount of kids turning up. Our training coaches, Crystal, Micheal & Michelle were in full swing, teaching the kids some basic skills. We were a little unfortunate with the weather, but the children were in full spirits and eager to learn. The forcast is showing sunny weather for the second session, so we will all be happier with that.
We do understand that sometimes it can be difficult to get to training on a sunday morning, but please understand how important this is for the children to reach their full potential for when the season starts. We only have 4 weeks left until the season begins, that means only 4 more lessons to teach the kids everything they need to know when getting on court.
We hope the children are all enjoying themselves so far

Parent Scoring Roster
Every Game day a parent from both teams needs to be a scorer for the game. To make it fair to all parents a parent scoring roster will be created and handed out at the club meeting.
Every game a parent is selected for votes. Votes are scored on a 3-1 point system, the player who receives 3 votes on game day will be given a player of the match award on game night. These votes are tallied up throughout the year to determine our player of the year for our End of year presentation.
All children are required to be at their game at least 20 minutes prior, for warm up and for the coach to speak with them. Every quarter the children come off court for a very minimal time, at this time the children are advised to head straight to the coach for position changes, a quick word and a drink. It is advised that all parents refrain from communicating with their child at this time, and that their water bottles should remain next to the coach. It is also against our rules for a parent to speak with another parent/s child about their performance. This behaviour will not be tolerated.
All children are required to wear the club uniform on game night. Any child who is out of uniform will not be allowed to take the court
We are required to have up to 9 players per team, with only 7 on court at a time. This means that every game there will be up to 2 players per quarter on bench. But never the same 2 players in one game. *Please note that if your child is not with the coach at changeover they may miss being on court. Please refer to Coaching Information
